Neons and Neutrals

I cannot even remember when the date was but I previously wrote a post about some of my favorite combos.  One of the combinations that I love is neons mixed with neutrals.  I came up with a list of combinations for all of you to use as a guide! 

1.  Electric yellow looks best with gray or lavender.

2. Neon orange looks great with navy or light blue.

3.  Lime green looks fabulous with camel or black.

4. Bright pink looks awesome with chambray or denim.

A Little Sparkle

I have seriously pinned entirely too many crafts on Pinterest but I cannot help it!  I love doing crafts and I love the way they turn out!! Over winter break, while I was in the dorms for gymnastics, I had a lot of spare time.  It was eat, breathe, gymnastics all day and then once night time rolled around I was dead tired and bored.  I turned to crafting!  This was one of my favorite little DIY that I did! 

My friends, team mates and deepher's (aka my DPhiE sisters) are more than aware that I am obsessed with glitter! There is no way they will mistake my iPhone chargers for someone else's now.

Successful Shopping Trip

Over winter break, my best friend and I went shopping at the Promenade after promising my mother I wouldn't buy anything.  Clearly once I got into the stores and then saw a pair of jeans on sale for $30.00 that fit me perfectly, I had to beg my mom to let me buy just one thing!  I can never find jeans that fit me or even look remotely good on me.  

Once the jeans were bought, my best and I headed into Lucky where things got really tough.  I swear I am addicted to shopping.  I could not try on anything or else I knew I would be tempted to buy it because of the great sale!  Then I came across these fabulous hats!  Once again, I was dying to purchase one but I knew I couldn't so instead I took pictures and watched Ber (the biff's nickname) buy an adorable shirt!

Has anyone else sported this fabulous hat trend?! I must get my hands on one!

Fierce in Fur

I may or may not have borrowed my mom's fur infinity scarf/snood that my aunt gave her but I could not resist! It is perfect and looked great with my new hair-do and winter jacket!  It also matched with my J.Crew color blocked button up!  I felt fierce and fashionable in it even though I wasn't all dressed up!

Another Oldie: New Years

I just realized I never posted my new years outfit!  The pictures aren't great. At all. However this is a peek at what I wore!

I wore a dress I got at American Apparel with a pair of knee-high socks and little booties from Pac Sun.  I also brought along my kate spade clutch! A personal favorite!!

I have a 15% off coupon for kate spade.  I am obsessed with this wallet and it is on sale.  However I would rather my mom not get incredibly angry with me so my money will be staying in my pocket.  Sad sad girl up here.

Spreading Cheer

Throughout the holiday season I attended numerous holiday parties and eventually I started running out of favorite outfits!  Of course I wanted to keep spreading the holiday cheer so I started looking through blogs for some outfit ideas.  I suddenly got inspired by another blog I follow and decided to pair my leather pants from H&M with a sweater I got for my birthday from LOFT.  Of course I topped off the outfit with my favorite pumps!  

My stack includes a Michael Kors watch, David Yurman bracelet and a spiked bracelet from Top Shop.

Flashback to Christmas

Christmas Eve is huge for my family.  Everyone always goes to the children's mass and then back to my mom-mom's house.  We get to open our stockings from her that night and it has always been tradition to take tons of pictures.  We get more dressed up and go all out celebrating Christmas Eve more than Christmas day.  This year I could not bear to put on a skirt or dress so I decided to wear my new favorite shirt!  I had posted about it previously saying my sister and I both wanted one from J.Crew.  Luckily, we got them for our birthdays!! I paired it with a pair of pants from LOFT that I picked up for only $15.00.  Total steal! I think the outfit looked fabulous, one of my favorites!

101 in 1001.

I have decided to not come up with a resolution this year.  Instead, I decided to participate in the 101 things in 1,001 days.  I will keep the list on sunnycurls and cross them off as they are accomplished! I am so excited to start this crazy wonderful journey.

Bottoms for the New Year

The new year brings out my new clothes (mostly because I just got them all from my birthday and Christmas).  I have come up with a list of must have bottoms (and tops! You just wait!) that are must haves for the new year!

They can be paired with anything and everything for every occasion.  Each staple piece can create dozens of outfits.  I love being creative and pairing new dressy tops with relaxed bottoms, or the opposite.  Take risks in the new year and go out and buy your new pieces!

A Dynamic Duo

Estée Lauder and Lilly Pulitzer have paired up to create a fabulous gift collaboration.  The first bag set was made available December 26th at Lord and Taylor.  The next two sets will be available at EstéeLauder.com and Dillard's in February.  Each will be limited edition and different patterns!  How exciting!!

Estée Lauder is always doing incredible collaborations!  This Lilly one is probably my favorite because the bags are more unique than their usual designs.  However, if you are more of a simple, neutral colored lover, they have a great collaboration with Michael Kors right now.  I know my sister and mom would much prefer this collaboration than the one with Lilly.  

Is anyone else as excited for this adorable collaboration as I am ?!

Color of the Month

Rumor has it that the color of 2013 is going to be emerald.  So why not make it the color of January on my blog?  It is a gorgeous, rich color that will look good on anyone! You can rock emerald no matter your skin tone or hair color.  Go out and buy something emerald as soon as you can!!
