Study Break

While studying for my finals I realized how unbelievably hot the library at my school can get.  I also realized that sometimes I work better when I am more confident with the way I appear (I guess I'm weird).  During all of my realizations I came up with an adorable solution to my dilemma.  A light-weight, minimal accessorized outfit!!

Making Everyday a Living Art

Recently, my friend introduced me to a designer named Angela Moore.  Her pieces are stunning.  They have tons of different colors, designs, and shapes.  I have fallen head over heels for them.  I am seriously going to have to buy myself a bracelet or necklaces before Europe I think.  I am in love!

Bangle Bar

Alex and Ani is a bracelet company that started out of Rhode Island.  Each bracelet is made from recycled metals and they each have different meanings.  There are dozens and dozens of bangles with different animals, symbols, quotes, letters, and beads! The list goes on and on.  Some support a cause and others just look fabulous.  No matter what bracelet you purchase, you will not be disappointed.  They are made to be stacked and I have already started my collection!  

I have the Star of Venus, St. Christopher, a C, a princess crown, and the quote.

I truly adore them all!! I have a few more on my wish list as well!

Easter Egg Pants

No, I am not crazy and yes, I do know that Easter was two days ago!  However, my Pop-pop (that is what I call my grandfather) made a comment about the pants I was wearing on Easter that I cannot seem to get out of my head.  He said that they looked like an Easter egg!  I was dying when I heard him whisper that to me because he is definitely not one to make comments.  After I settled down and looked at the jeans I was wearing, I had to agree!  

Colored jeans are totally in style right now so do not be scared to try and rock a pair!  I ended up getting two pairs this weekend!

I have THE HARDEST time finding a pair of jeans that fit my "gymnast thighs and waist" at once.  Luckily, designers and brands have come up with jeggings.  Normally I would hear that word and run except for some reason I run towards them now!  Companies have come up with jeggings that actually look and feel 100% like jeans.  The only difference is that the jeggings are tighter on your leg and waist but still are able to stretch and fit comfortably around every curve!  Thank goodness I gave them a try because I almost only wear them now!

After I bought my first pair (the yellow ones below) my mom decided that she loved the way they looked and fit me and bought me a pink pair!  I cannot wait to wear both of them to class!

Pretty Peplums

What is a peplum you may ask?  Do not worry I was asking the same thing the other day!  Apparently it is the name of a style of shirt or dress.  I have been completely obsessed with the silhouette and I had no idea that it had this name! Now that I do, I cannot get my mind off of them!  I only have one shirt in this style however I am looking to buy more!  Here are a few that I would suggest to buy from Anthropologie.  They each cost $78 and as you can see there are a few colors.

And here is a personal favorite of mine, a dress from ASOS that is currently on sale for $69.83.

Here's a Tip!

Color "blocked" or color "tipped" flats are one way to spice up an outfit without adding too much color!  It is easy to add them into any outfit and they can also dress an outfit up or down.

Flats are always perfect for transitioning from Winter to Spring and I myself have a few old pairs laying around.  If you don't want to trash your old pairs yet but you want to give them a new life, try doing this yourself!

1.  Pick a pair of flats and a color of spray paint that would look good on them.

2.  Tape a line where you would like the colored tip to end.

3.  Next, cover the rest of the shoe so no spray paint travels onto other spots.

4.  Spray the tip of the shoe with your desired color of spray paint.

5. Let dry and take the tape off.

6.  Voila! You now have a new pair of flats!!

Pattern Play

There are tons and tons of different patterns in all the stores this Spring.  My favorite thing to do with them? Mix and match!  Or as I also like to call it, pattern play!  I will be the first one to admit that sometimes it may seem a little frightening to mix completely different patterns but you have to try it!  Wear your outfit with confidence and you will definitely blow people away!  Here are some outfits I have come up with...
