Love is in the Air

My love life is currently non-existant.  Granted I may have a "crush" on someone but that is besides the point.  This is first Valentine's day I will be spending alone and I am actually okay with that.  I love fairytales, happily ever afters, and everything and anything about a love story however since I don't have one of my own right now, I will help all of you plan an outfit for a night out with your man or even a night like I will be having.  One with the girls!!

My Life

As most of you know by now, I am the captain of my college's division III gymnastics team.  I could not be more proud of everything my team has accomplished over the past two and a half years.  I do not think they know how much I care about the team.  I put my entire heart into the sport and team.

Cannot Stop Thinking About You

I am currently saving up for two things (one not being clothes ..be proud mom!).  One of them I will post about a little later but for now I will post about these shoes.  Yes shoes.  I am new to wearing heels however this one pair has been on my mind for over a month.  I need them.  Seriously.  My mom will probably be shaking her head and laughing at me right now but it is true.  I just cannot afford them at the current moment and that is why they are unfortunately not in my closet.

I am not sure why I am so obsessed with these shoes.  I do not even care that they are open toed, I would literally wear them all year round.  They can be found in so many different places seriously.  I would most likely order them from Urban Outfitters though.  The shoes are called the Soiree Clear Heel by Jeffrey Campbell.

My immediate thought when I hear Jeffrey Campbell is his sky high Lita shoes but these, these are incredible.  I cannot get enough of them and that is why they are the first on my wish list!!

Does anyone else just adore these shoes?!

Life Lessons

So last week was pretty much a week full of mental breakdowns for me.  (My friends know I have those every few months haha)  I will not go into details however I learned a lot from everything that happened.  Each time something happens in my life or if my sister, best friend and I are going somewhere, our mothers (also best friends) decide to give us life lessons.  We have an ongoing joke about how many they have given us and I don't think they know that we really listen to them and use them. (Maybe after this post they will!!)  Here is a list of just a few of the lessons I learned last week...

If your friends are truly your friends, they will let you vent and cry about anything to them.

You have to learn how to create your own happiness.  You cannot depend on someone else to do it for you.

You, and only you, will decide your self worth.

Putting positive thoughts into the universe truly does help.

Just because you are left in the dark doesn't mean you aren't surrounded by light.
