A Girly Guide

One of my friend repined this today and I could not agree more with all of it.  My best friends came to the city this weekend to visit me and I could not be more thankful to have them in my life.  They made me realize that I can just be myself on sunny curls and I will stand apart from the rest.  I am real.  I make mistakes, normally quite humorous ones.  I will be loved no matter what.

The Fourth

Other than my birthday (yes it is a holiday in my eyes) and Christmas, the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday!  Although the fireworks seemed too loud when I was a child, every other memory that the Fourth brings is my favorite. 

The beach, lake house, best friends, fireworks at west, swim club days, greasy watermelon games, bathing suits, family, love.  I literally am the happiest in July.  The memories this month brings makes me giggle with excitement and I cannot wait for July 4th! 

This year I will be celebrating with my fantastic boyfriend and best friends in Rhode Island.  I will be escaping the city and taking the train up to visit all of them for the week.  I am so excited to see everyone and I know that my boyfriend will be the best guide to all the RI beaches, esp. Newport (he works there!!).

The Brand: Me

I read Levo League on occasion. I guess when I say occasion I mean more like everyday but, it truly has helped me understand myself and who I want to be.  Saying that, I have decided I want to figure out what my personal brand actually is.  Who am I?  What am I best at?  What do I love the most?  These all seem simple to me at first until I really start to think about it.  I don't actually know how other people see me.  

I am asking you, my readers, to comment this and tell me how you see me.  What you think I like, enjoy, am best at, etc.  I actually think this will really help me!  If you are still confused about what in the world I am talking about, read the article!  It will make you think, trust me!

Wishing away Sunday

Of course, once again, my mom is right.  I do have a shopping addiction.  Unfortunately I haven't bought anything since I moved to NYC and it actually is one of the hardest things in the world.  I have bought food, an umbrella, two magazines, and a ton more food.  I literally just wish I had the energy and time to find a job because I have found so many things I would kill to have!! Aka this is another wish list post.

I came across an extremely inexpensive site (they have stores too however I am not sure where) after seeing another blogger mention it.  I have picked out two must haves and hopefully I will be able to get them at some point!

Now that I have been in New York City for three weeks and my life has become a little less hectic, I am able to get this blog under control.  So sorry for not posting enough lately.  I have literally been swamped but for now, I am back.  I will not be posting the same as I did before.  Just tidbits, notes, daily events, intern life, etc.  It will be a bird's eye view into the life of an unpaid, fashion intern struggling to handle her shopping addiction, missing her friends and family, and counting down the days until she sees her boyfriend.  Sunny curls is my outlet and I am glad you are all here to experience it!  With tons of hugs and kisses!
