First Day Jitters

Today was my first day of my junior year at RIC.  I love school (I am a nerd) but I still get wicked nervous when it comes to the first day!  I thought of a few things last night to help me calm my nerves for tomorrow's full day of class! 

1. Check the weather for tomorrow!  You never know if it may be scorching hot, rainy, or a little on  the chilly side up here in New England.
2. Pack your bag!  (I will post about what I like to carry with me at all times in a little bit!)
3. Pick out an outfit that is comfortable, makes you feel confident, and appropriate for the weather outside and inside the classroom! 

Here are two outfits that I thought would be perfect for the first day of class!

Both seem comfortable and appropriate.  You must keep in mind that college is also more of a professional environment in the classroom.  You don't want to show up looking ready to go to the bar!

Queen of Pink and Green

Clearly I would like to think of myself as the "Queen of Pink and Green" but every prep knows that a title like that belongs to Lilly Pulitzer.  She is beyond fabulous and so is the sale she is having right now!

Unfortunately, Lilly only goes on sale about twice a year!  Luckily, I was able to catch it in time this year and you are too!  Go to her website and start your search now! Words of Wisdom

The craziness has begun!  I cannot believe I haven't posted in a week! Who am I?!!  Anyways, work ended today and saying goodbye to my little nuggets was impossible.  My favorite little peanut who is my "mini me" literally collapsed to the ground in tears.  I could not handle it!! Luckily I have the staff dinner tonight and then I leave for Myrtle Beach on Sunday!  (Yes! Myrtle! My mom wants me to drive down with my sister! Mini vacay! YES!)  I don't have much time right now so I will leave you with some of my new favorite quotes and get back to you all later! xxx

Back to School

Radiant in Red

At the end of each summer my mom allows my sister and I to swipe her fabulous American Express Gold card for some back to school shopping!  I thought that my best bet would be to head to the Atlantic City outlets.  I spent the day at my second home with my best friend, the beach, and then headed to the shops!  

I bought several things throughout the day but my favorite buy was an item from my wish list!  I found the red pants I was dying for from J.Crew!  I got even luckier when I realized how good of a discount the outlet store had on them!  I put together a few outfits that would look awesome at either class or out on a date!

Shopped 'til I Dropped

Spending money I don't have much of is always my favorite!  I think I may have spent my entire last paycheck over the last week.  I am officially ready for school though.... I think.  I got all of my school supplies that I need and more!  I also snagged things for my room and a few other wish list items!

I am thinking that I like the color pink considering only one item doesn't include it!  Haha!! The baublebar necklace has been on my wish list forever along with a new pair of Nikes and those loafers!  I came up with a great idea to use the tray for.. perfume and make-up at school!  I really needed a place for organization on my counter top.  The cooler bag is perfect for the beach, a sleepover night, or even my books possibly!

I could not be happier with my new items!  Plus I have a few Lilly purchases coming in from the sale!  Yay!
