A Great Gift

With the holidays coming up and my birthday nearing, gifts have been thought about quite a bit. My mother (who is probably reading this) probably does not want me coming home for break right now because of my spending habits however there is one gift I must share with you all that will certainly not break your bank.

Brittany Fuson has gorgeous prints and an even better planner that will make each and every one of you feel like a diva when you look them. Her prints come in things like notecards, greeting cards, post-its etc.

Here are a few of my favorites. (I would buy them all if I had the money!)
Paris Part 2
Lauren
Cheers
Atlantic
Alexandra
Blair 2
To be honest, the list goes on but I guess those would be my top choices! For some reason they scream NYC, fashion and fabulousity to me!

What are your thoughts on these prints?

Sister Sister

Walking through J.Crew yesterday was the hardest thing to do with all of the sales and zero money.  However, my sister, cousin and I had fun looking through clothes and wishing we could buy them.  My sister and I both fell in love with similar yet somewhat opposite shirts.  I still think it would be the funniest thing if we both bought them and wore them on Christmas together and/or our birthday dinners just because they are so alike yet so different... just like my sister and I.

This one would most definitely be mine. It screams Caitlin!!

This one would be for my sister! I know she would look amazing in it!

Now we just have to buy some scratch off tickets to get money!

I'm Thankful for Clothes

I am beyond thankful for dozens of things in my life and as silly as it sounds, clothing is one thing I am thankful for.  I am able to express my feelings and personality through what I am wearing and I love that.  I don't have restrictions on what I wear and my clothing isn't like my mouth, which I have to filter.

I also want to work in the fashion industry one day... most likely doing public relations for a fashion house or magazine so clothes are important to me and my future.

This is the outfit I wore on Thanksgiving and I am pretty sure it shows how I was feeling that day... confident, fun, loud and completely 100% me.

Pants: Necessary Clothing ; Shirt: an actual dress from American Apparel ; Flats: American Eagle (old) ; Bracelets: Alex and Ani

Is anyone else thankful for their clothing?

Thanksgiving Eve

Thanksgiving Eve is one of the biggest party days of the entire year. Why? I have no idea maybe it is the fact that everyone comes home for the first time to see their childhood friends again or maybe everyone is celebrating the things their thankful for. I am not really sure but if you are going to see all those people you either loved, or dreaded, seeing in high school, college, wherever you will be this holiday, you are going to want to look beyond your best!

Black is always a color that looks great on everyone and if you pair it with gold you will be the hottest one there! I love the layered look this season with fur and sequins and leather so why not put it all together in one outfit?!  My thoughts exactly.

Wild Side

The time has come.  I actually like animal print now. Do not go crazy and get all excited because it is a very limited selection of the ones I like but yes, I enjoy some prints, leathers and materials.  They do not have to be real. Obviously I don't want a poor animal harmed however the look of their skin can be quite fabulous so a mock version is just as nice.

The first prints I am all for is crocodile and alligator.  I have always loved the way it looks especially in handbags.

Next, I have come to love snake skin. I am not sure why but there is something about the look and the texture that draws me to it. I have a tote that I often use for overnight trips in a snakeskin print that I adore.  It matches everything and is still not plain and boring.

Lastly, yes friends, mark your calendars because I am about to say something that will shock you all and you are going to want the documentation.  I like the whole cheetah/leopard print thing. It must be in small doses but yes, it is rubbing off on me.  Belts, scarves, wallets, phone cases, loafers... those all seem great starters to me. Here are a few examples of what I can deal with.. any more and I am still a little uncomfortable ha ha.

Steve Madden Croquetl Suede Loafers

Leopard print infinity scarf from Express

Are there any animal prints that you like to wear?

Color of the Month: Burnt Orange

While parading through NYC last month, the leaves on the trees all started to change colors.  They were a beautiful burnt orange shade.  I could not stop staring at their beauty.  I soon realized I needed to start wearing that color!  It is eye-catching and bold yet neutral enough to wear the piece more than once if you spend money on it.  Buying jewelry or accessories in this color will also be beneficial because it matches so many different colors and still stands out.

Do any of you wear this color?!
