Workin' on my Fitness

This morning here in England we went to a pilates class in a town called Tumbridge Wells.  My aunt goes a few times a week for different classes and thought we might enjoy it! We she was definitely right! We loved it!  The class really tested our strength and I am hoping I will find a place to do it at home and school.

Deciding what to wear to the pilates class was quite difficult.  Luckily I brought some of my gym gear along and the decision was made fast! I have a few favorite things to wear when I work out.  For the most part, it is all Nike gear however I am starting to love lululemon and all of their gear!

I could keep going and going adding more stuff that I absolutely love but instead I will let you look at the website!

What are your favorite athletic brands?! I would love to try them!

Stand Out in a Crowd

Being in England for a week so far has made me realize something.. Americans stand out.  It is quite obvious who is not English.  Many of the English wear dull, neutral, and earthy colors.  The bright tops, pastel jeans, and colored shoes are not fitting in very well.

After doing a little people watching I realized that I don't want to blend in.  I am proud of who I am, the way I dress, and being a foreigner.  Although I came up with a few ways to help the locals fit in with our American trends (haha)!  Being the fashionista that I am, I started putting together ideas in my head.  The first idea was to throw a pair of brightly colored earrings on every woman I see walk by.  To be honest, it got a little funny once I started seeing various types of people walk by.  These are a few pairs of earrings I was imagining on the woman with the dull and colorless outfits!

What accessory would you add to help the British women stand out!?

Living The Ape Life and Conquering Fears

GoApe is an activity in England that I have grown to be obsessed with!  This morning we woke up bright and early and headed for one of the many national parks!  Once we arrived, Uncle England (what I will be calling my uncle we are staying with) set us off on a path up to the activity hut!  GoApe is a ropes course that you go on throughout the tree tops of the forest!  There are dozens and dozens of ropes and courses.  The scariest part was that you are on your own!  We had to control our own harnesses and everything!  Thankfully, I was not scared and my fantastic sister overcame her fear of heights! Our lovely friend was a bit scared and discovered that she is afraid of heights though!  It was a day full of fears for the girls which brought me to question what are my fears?!

I have come up with a list of my fears and we have decided that this trip will be about conquering all fears.  Unfortunately my fears aren't common like heights, snakes, spiders, etc.  I am a little different.  I love adventure and I live off of that natural high.  My fears are a little deeper within me (besides the one fear of not looking good in an outfit haha).

  1. Fear of people judging me.
  2. Fear of being forgotten.
  3. Fear of someone being mad at me.
  4. Fear of not saying what I wanted to say.
  5. Fear of "what if..."
That is all I feel comfortable to share right now but as the trip goes on, I am sure I will share more!  Number 5 might be the trickiest for me since I am constantly thinking and questioning everything!

Those are all of the things I have decided I need to work on while I am here.  I guess by leaving in the first place I started to conquer number 2.  One day at a time I will slowly become into a stronger and more courageous person!

Do you have any fears?! Big or small, they all matter!

Words of Wisdom -- European Edition

I have been in England since Tuesday morning now and I love it!  I cannot wait to post some of my outfits!  We will be leaving next weekend for our huge tour so I am going to try and post outfits before we go! As of now, I have learned a few things since being here ...

I learned an extremely important lesson as well.

Everything just seems really important right now.

Aka... in the long run, these things that are driving me insane and everything that is happening to me now... will not matter in a few years.  I need to keep that in mind.  I really think that it will help me get through the rest of this trip and the summer.  Positive thoughts!

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Today, my sister and I, are having a summer kick-off BBQ with all of our friends from home! This will be the first time we are all together since summer started and I cannot wait! (Minus my swedish fish and m&ms best friend...miss you millions!!) I had the hardest time picking out an outfit so I started brainstorming on my computer!  I love the thought of wearing a bright shirt paired with a crisp white colored bottom and to top it off, wedges!

I ended up picking out a bright reddish/orange strapless dress I have to wear!  I also am wearing chunky heels!

What do you like wearing to a BBQ?

Shopped 'til I Dropped

It is official... I went shopping crazy for my trip to Europe!  I could not resist the steals I found at American Eagle Outfitters and Francesca's.  Lately I have been buying most things from boutiques and different online boutiques but this was all last minute and I fell in love with the way these shorts and shirts fit my body.  It is rare that I find more than one thing that fits me on a shopping trip!  Unfortunately, there are none of my purchases on Francesca's website but I put together a few of the items I got at American Eagle Outfitters!

I cannot wait to mix and match all of my new clothes! I will be sure to take pictures with my new AMAZING camera that I just bought!

Summer Design Consultant

Last week I found out that I am going to be a summer design consultant for the clothing company Emma Graham Designs.  I could not be more thrilled or nervous at the same time!  I have no saving up for about five different dresses.  My mom might not be too happy about this hahah! I cannot wait to host my first trunk show and sell these beautiful pieces to my friends and family!

Don't you just love these dresses?!

Derby Days

It is that time of the year again! Derby Days! My dream would be to attend the Kentucky Derby in one of these killer Emma Graham Designs outfits!  Emma Graham Designs is an amazing company with the cutest dresses, skirts, and floppy hats!  This Kristen skirt is my all time favorite.. I have been saving up to buy it!  If you are attending the derby, here are a few ideas to keep in mind when shopping.

The best part about Emma Graham Designs is that you can personalize different dresses, hats, and skirts.  You are able to pick and choose which colors you would like to pair up!  And just when you thought it couldn't get better.... Emma Graham has a Campus Collection!  You are able to shop designs made for your school!  Quite fabulous if you ask me!

Do any of you have an Emma Graham dress?

The Little Things

So as some of you may know, I design, create, and sell my own earrings.  As of now, I call the company "The Little Things."  I decided to go outside of my comfort zone and show all of you some of the pairs I have made.

I also have a few other ideas that I plan on making.  There are a few bracelet and necklace designs that I have come up with and once finals are over I will start making them all!!

(I will also be able to start blogging more often again! Thank goodness!)

Do you all like any of my pairs? Have any suggestions for my earrings?
